The full verse from the Song of Songs reads: My beloved is mine and I am his, that feedeth (lit. grazes) among the lilies (roses). In Hebrew: dodi li va’ani lo, ha’ro’eh bashoshanim.

No one knows for sure what Shoshanim are, but in today’s Hebrew we usually think of roses when we say Shoshanim, so I painted roses to represent the couple.
